Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising.

We ask for your choice the first time you visit. Nothing that measures your use of the site or supports advertising is loaded, and no such cookie is set, until you choose "Accept all".

Strictly necessary cookies

These keep the site working and remember your choices. They are set without asking, because the site cannot function without them.

  • vb_consent -- remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. Kept for 6 months.
  • vb_web_offer -- holds the airport-service offer you selected while you complete a booking. Expires with your booking session.
  • vb_web_session -- keeps you signed in, where sign-in is available. Expires with your session.

Analytics and advertising cookies

If you choose "Accept all", we load two measurement tools. If you choose "Reject all", or do not choose, neither is loaded and nothing is sent to either company from your browser.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google) -- cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID>. Measures which pages are visited and how visitors move through a booking, so we can improve the site. Kept for up to 2 years.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta) -- cookies named _fbp and, if you arrived from a Meta advertisement, _fbc. Measures how well our advertising performs and helps show it to relevant audiences. Kept for up to 3 months.
  • vb_conv -- records which of your bookings we have already counted, so refreshing your confirmation page does not count it twice. Only set after you accept. Kept for 90 days.

Measurement sent from our servers

Browsers and ad blockers can prevent the tools above from seeing a completed booking. If you accepted analytics cookies, when you submit a booking we may also report that booking to Google and Meta directly from our servers.

That report contains the booking value, the currency, an identifier for the booking, and the browser identifiers the tools above already set. For Meta it may also include your email address and phone number, which we convert into a one-way hash (SHA-256) on our server before sending -- your email address and phone number themselves are never sent to your browser for this purpose or to Meta in readable form.

If you rejected cookies, or did not choose, no such report is sent.

Third parties

Google and Meta act on their own account for some of the data they receive, under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with them for any purpose other than the measurement described here.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. Choosing "Reject all" afterwards stops further measurement and removes the analytics and advertising cookies set by this site.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not stop the site from working, but you may be asked for your choice again.
